Seminar Library in Department of Development Studies inaugurated at DU

The newly- constructed seminar library has been inaugurated in the Department of Development Studies, Dhaka University. University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maqsood Kamal inaugurated this seminar library on Thursday as the chief guest in a function in the department.
The chairman of the department is Professor Dr. Dr. Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir chaired the ceremony Emeritus Professor of the department. Atiur Rahman, famous economist and former university professor. Wahiduddin Mahmud and Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences Professor Rasheda Irshad Nasir spoke as special guests. In addition, the professor of the department Dr. Tyebur Rahman and Professor Dr. Suchita Sharmin spoke. The teachers and students of the department were present.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal expressed his sincere thanks to those involved in the construction of this seminar library and said that this library will play a helpful role in transforming Dhaka University into a research-based educational institution. The Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that through the proper use of this library, teachers, researchers and students will enrich their world of knowledge and contribute to the development of the country through new research and innovation.
After the inauguration, Professor Dr. Atiur Rahman and Professor Dr. Wahiduddin Mahmood donated several books to the seminary library.
