The “Youth Festival 2025” was organised on Sunday at Saudagar Hat Government Primary School in Charbata Union in Noakhali The event by Sagarika Samaj Unnayan Sangstha as part of the “Samriddhi” program, operated with the support of Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF).
On this occasion, a plantation program and a cleanliness drive were conducted.
The Executive Director of Sagarika Samaj Unnayan Sangstha, Mohammad Saiful Islam, was present as the chief guest at the tree plantation event. Also present were the Head Teacher of Saudagar Hat Government Primary School, Rokeya Begum, along with all the teaching staff of the school. In addition, members of the Charbata Union Youth Club actively participated in the event.
As part of the cleanliness campaign, a large-scale cleaning drive was carried out at the intersection of Khaser Hat Road with the help of Youth Club members and the participation of local residents. The campaign generated a strong response among locals. Every shopkeeper pledged to dispose of their waste in designated areas. Through the campaign, locals were made aware that stagnant water for more than three days, coconut shells, old tires, and rainwater can serve as breeding grounds for dengue mosquitoes. Therefore, everyone’s cooperation is needed to remove stagnant water and destroy breeding sites.
The authorities of Sagarika Samaj Unnayan Sangstha believe that this program will encourage local people to engage in tree plantation and become more conscious about cleanliness.
