
July Mass Uprising Day : Discussion, prize distribution, cultural event held in Joypurhat

To commemorate the sacrifice of the valiant martyrs and to mark the glorious day of re-establishing democracy, a unique event was organized by the Joypurhat District Administration on the occasion of "July Mass Uprising Day" on Tuesday.
The event, held at the District Shilpakala Academy, featured a gathering of the families of July martyrs, distribution of clothes among street children, a discussion meeting, prize distribution, and cultural performances.
The event was graced by the presence of Joypurhat Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Ms. Afroza Akhter Chowdhury as the chief guest.
Superintendent of Police Muhammad Abdul Wahab was present as the special guest.
District Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Fazlur Rahman Saeed, Joypurhat District BNP Convenor Gulzar Hossain, and leaders of various political, social, and professional organizations of the district were also present.
In the discussion, speakers said, the month of July is not just a period of time—it is a symbol of Bengal's mass awakening and valiant resistance against autocracy. Those who gave their lives in this month are eternally memorable.
