Central BNP Co-Working Secretary Wadud Bhuiyan urged leaders and activists to take to the field to prevent the rise of fascist Hasina and the defeated forces of 71, saying that interim government head Dr. Muhammad Yunus has announced that elections will be held in February.
This call was made at a huge rally at the Shapla square of Khagrachari Bijoy North Khagrachari Municipality on Wednesday afternoon. The slogan of the leaders and activists at the BNP Bijoy rally was election-oriented.
He said that the anti-independence forces were hiding under the lungi of the Awami League for almost 16 years. No case was filed against them in Khagrachari at that time. No one was arrested. However, during this time, 19 BNP leaders and activists were killed and disappeared in Khagrachari. More than 50,000 BNP leaders and activists were under false cases. Thousands of BNP accused have left their homes and passed their lives in forests, jungles and on balconies in courts. And the anti-independence force was safe. After Hasina fled, that anti-independence force has entered the field with a new story.
Before the rally, a huge victory rally of the past was led by Wadud Bhuiyan from the Khagrachari Gate area and paraded the city. Khagrachari District BNP General Secretary MN Absar was the special guest at the rally.
Khagrachari District BNP Vice President Pabin Chakma presided over the rally, and District BNP Joint Secretary Adv Abdul Malek Mintu, Mosharraf Hossain, Animesh Chakma Rinku and Organizing Secretary Abdur Rob Raja addressed the rally.
