Quran competition, prize distribution among Hafez in Gafargaon

Quran recitation and Islamic ghazal competition was held on the occasion of holy month of Ramadan with the participation of Hafez students of Gafargaon upazila of Mymensingh and with the cooperation of Gafargaon Journalist Welfare Forum.
The final phase of the competition was held at 10:30 am on Saturday at the traditional Dugachia Jamia Hossainiya Madrasa of the upazila. Prominent Alameddin and Central General Secretary of Gafargaon Ulama Association Maulana Mahmudul Hasan Salmani presided over and moderated by Hafez Maulana Mufti Tanveer Ahmad Jabir of Dugachia Jamia Hossainia Madrasa, professor Nazmul Haque of Alokita Gafargaon, former VP Mahtab Uddin Sadek, journalist and writer Mofazzal Ansari, lecturer were present in the event. Abdullah Al Ahad, Ahsanul Habib, Gafargaon Journalist Welfare Forum President Robel Mahmud, General Secretary Rafiqul Islam Khan.
Also, heads of different madrasas of the upazila and local dignitaries were present as invited guests. 25 contestants from 8 institutions participated in the final stage of the competition. 6 winners of Group A and Group B were awarded with crests and cash.
