Mourning August: When August comes, the darkness of grief descends on the Bengali heart

Dr. Muhammad Mahtab Hossain Mazed

Mourning August 4th day is Thursday. On August 15, 1975, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the architect of freedom, was killed in his family.

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is not just the name of a person, he himself is a unique and exceptional history. In the context of society, country and time, he became Bangabandhu from the individual Mujib. In just a few years, Bangabandhu became a historical hero from a political leader.

At the call of Bangabandhu, the master behind the long liberation struggle, the entire Bengali nation jumped into the war of independence. In 1971, independent Bangladesh was marked on the world map for the first time by his hands. His name is written in the history of Bengalis for thousands of years as the architect of independent Bangladesh.

But a few years after independence, a group of ungrateful Bengalis brutally killed the father of the nation. In this month of 1975, Bengalis lost the best child of thousand years, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

On this day, the assassins not only killed Bangabandhu, Bangabandhu's consort Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnessa Mujib, Bangabandhu's son Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Jamal, child Sheikh Russell and daughter-in-law Sultana Kamal and Rosi Jamal killed 17 family members one by one.

After the dark night of August 15, the shadow of intense grief descended on the whole world, the poisonous vapor of hatred spread. 46 years have passed since that terrible murder. Even today the Bengali nation misses Bangabandhu. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the great hero of history, is remembered with respect in every Bengali achievement.

Dr. MM Mazed, the founder of the jatio rogi kallan Society, wrote a column about today's issue. When August comes, the darkness of grief descends on the Bengali heart.

The whole month is like 'Shravan Megh Day'. When August comes, an endless stream of Shravan touches the Bengali soul. The painful Aarti of this month has surpassed the great age, beyond the boundaries of the world and has shocked the conscience of the whole world! On the one hand, the well-planned tragic killings or assassination plans of the anti-Bangladesh domestic and foreign gangs, on the other hand, the tragic events determined by 'destiny' or 'fate'; All in all, August is like a stream of mourning.

As soon as the name of the month of August is uttered, the Bengali-heart aches, the Bengali-soul swells with grief. The name of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the best Bengali of thousands of years, the architect of freedom, the father of the nation, floats in the heart.

On August 15, 1975, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was killed along with his family in a tragic assassination. Also killed were Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib, Sheikh Kamal, Sheikh Jamal, child Sheikh Russell, Sheikh Kamal's wife Sultana Kamal, Sheikh Jamal's wife Rozi Jamal, Bangabandhu's brother Sheikh Abu Nasser, Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni, his pregnant wife Arju Moni, Bangabandhu's sister-in-law. Abdur Rab Serniabat, his son ArifSerniabat, grandson, Sukant Abdullah, Sajib Serniabat, son of Abdur Rab Serniabat's elder brother. Not only in the history of the Bengali nation, but the entire world history, it is difficult to find the second such unprecedented political murder. August has been repeatedly chosen by assassins as their cruel target month.

In this month of 1975, Bengalis lost Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the best father of the Bengali nation for a thousand years, similarly on August 21, 2004, there was an attempt to kill Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of the father of the nation, Awami League president and current prime minister by throwing a grenade.

Fortunately, he survived that day, but former president Md. 24 people including Zillur Rahman's wife, Awami League's then women's affairs editor Ivy Rahman were killed and more than five hundred leaders and activists were seriously injured. On August 17, 2005, the anti-national gang attacked 63 districts simultaneously with series 500 bombs and turned this beloved motherland into a deathbed.

On the 7th of August 1941 (Bengali 22nd Shravan) we lost the master artist of self-portrait of the Bengali nation, the universal poet Rabindranath Tagore. On August 29, 1976, we lost the poet of equality-betrayal-love, our national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. On August 17, 2006, we lost the main poet of Bangladesh, Shamsur Rahman. August 11, 2004 Humayun Azad's death anniversary.

On August 20, 1971, we lost our hero Matiur Rahman. On August 5, 1975, we lost poet Sikandar Abu Zafar. On August 26, 1934, we lost the poet Atul Prasad Sen. On August 11, 1908, we lost Khudiram Bose, the inspiration for the revolution. On August 13, 2011, we lost Tarek Masud, the pioneer of Bangladesh's healthy films, and Mishuk Munir, a distinguished cinematographer and director. A little research will reveal the number of other talented people we lost this month.

Such deaths in August move us to tears. The death of those famous Bengalis in this month of August was as if destiny was determined! Empathy is a human instinct. No sane, sane person can float in the sea of happiness, burst into joy when the black darkness of grief descends on his neighbor. Rather, standing next to a grieving neighbor, sharing grief with a grieving neighbor is the identity of humanity and humanity. This is our social, human custom. Even in the days of the great enemy's calamity, in the great tribulation, or in the days of mourning, we do not rejoice. We did not have to receive this education from any classroom. Our family-environment-environment has taught us this. Its deviation means abnormal, sick, distorted behavior towards society and people.

Khaleda Zia is the only woman in the world, who from 1944 to 1949; This has been born five times in a few years! This information is not intended to demean or belittle anyone. Khaleda Zia's personal papers and various media reports have revealed that information.

Let's know about Khaleda Zia's birthday news - In 1984, Khaleda Zia's father Eskander Majumdar told a weekly newspaper interview that Khaleda is my third daughter. Khaleda was born on September 5, 1945, a historic day, the day World War II ended. On March 20, 1991, Dainik Bangla published a biography of the then Prime Minister Khaleda Zia sent by the government news agency - BASS.

It is mentioned in that biography that Khaleda Zia's birthday was on August 19, 1945. Khaleda Zia's birth date is September 5, 1946 as per matric examination mark sheet. Khaleda Zia's birthday is August 9, 1944 according to the marriage certificate. In the 2000 voter information form, Khaleda Zia stated that her birthday was August 15, 1946!

By reviewing so many birth dates and years of Khaleda Zia, it can be seen that she has changed her birth year while enrolling in school to reduce her age. Changed the year and month of birth in the marriage booth to increase the age to fulfill the marriage registry law. He changed the birth year and date on the national identity card to spread hatred against Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Finally, I want to say that on August 15, 1975, the murderers of Narpishach Rupi did not stop with killing the father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Bangabandhu promulgated the Indemnity Act to stop the murder trial. For 21 years since August 15, 1975, the Bengali nation was forced to bear the stigma of injustice.

In 1996, when the government was formed under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina, the daughter of the father of the nation, a trial was taken to erase the stigma of 21 years. Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina freed the nation from stigma by putting Bangabandhu's killers on trial and executing the death sentence of some of the killers in 2010 through a systematic judicial process.

Awami League and its allies, fraternal and various social-cultural-political organizations will celebrate the National Mourning Day with due dignity, respect, love and in a solemn and painful atmosphere in solidarity with the entire nation in the mournful August.
