The monthly meeting of Rangamati Hill District Council was held on Sunday at the Parishad's Annex Building. presided over the meeting District Council Chairman Angsui Pru Chowdhury.

In the meeting, Chairman of the Parishad Angsui Pru Chowdhury urged the Department of Livestock, Fisheries and Agriculture to play an active role in creating food security in the district.

He said, in order to deal with the global economic recession, the crop yield should be increased by utilizing the uncultivated land. He directed the concerned departments to increase the production of seasonal crops, fruits and animal resources. He assured the council of full cooperation to the devolved departments in this regard. He said, any problem of developmental work will be solved sincerely.

In the organized monthly meeting conducted by the chief executive officer of the council Md. Ashraful Islam, the members of the Rangamati hill district council respectively, member Jharna Khisa, member Diptimoy Talukdar, executive engineer Birol Barua, Rangamati civil surgeon Dr. Nihar Ranjan Nandi, Member Angsui Chain Chowdhury, Member Priyanand Chakma, Member Sabir Kumar Chakma, Member Ilipon Chakma, Member Promoter Chakma, Member Vipul Tripura, Member Newching Marma, Administrative Officer Mantosh Chakma, Accounts, Heads of Departments of Transferred Department were present.

In the meeting, the officers of the transferred departments highlighted the progress of their respective organizations.
