Madan Municipality budget announced without new tax

Mayor Saiful Islam Saif announced the budget of Madan Municipality for the fiscal year 2023-24 without new taxes.
This budget was announced in a press conference in the conference room of the municipality on Sunday.The announced budget shows higher spending on development and infrastructure.
This year's total budget is 11 crore 57 lakh 9 thousand 16 taka.The expenditure shown is 11 crore 40 lakhs.A surplus of Tk 17 lakh 9 thousand 16 has been kept in it.
In order to build a modern municipality, this year's budget, forestry, garbage dumping zone determination, city waterlogging, road development, education, health sector development has also been considered.
Municipal Secretary Jahangir Alam, Assistant Engineer Sanwar Hossain, Madan Zobaida Rahman Women's College Assistant Professor Mokhleshur Rahman, Senior Journalist Motahar Alam Chowdhury, Press Club General Secretary Paritosh Das, journalist Hanif Ullah Akash, Tofazzal Hossain, Abdul Awal Palash, were present during the budget announcement. Councilors including Nurul Alam Kamal, Faiz Ahmed Hriday, dignitaries and journalists of print and electronic media.
