The long-awaited dream is going to be fulfilled as the important traffic road of 4 villages of Daulatdia UP Ward No. 8 of Goalando Upazila of Rajbari is being developed by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED).

Goalando Upazila LGED Department has already sent the estimate of 2 thousand 685 meters road from Daulatdia UP to Ujanchar Via Mukhi Gani Sheikh Para, Sona Ullah Fakir Para, Jadu Fakir Para and Torap Sheikh Para to Ujanchar New Para Mukhi. The residents have been waiting for the long-awaited road for several years.

After a long wait, the dream of the affected people is going to be fulfilled.It has been informed through a separate notice from the Directorate of Local Government Engineers, Goalando Upazila Office, that a project estimate of Tk 3 crore 37 lakh 71 thousand 546 has been sent under the project titled Rural Road Infrastructure Purnabasan (1st Revised) damaged by Cyclone Ampan and floods. The repair work of the road will be taken up soon.

Permanent residents of the area are very happy to hear the news of the road tender. Humayun Ahmed, the owner of Gwaland Bazar Addeen Krishi Bhandar and a resident of Torap Sheikh's neighborhood, said, "This is the only road in our area for a long time." This road is the only road to our Goland and Daulatdia market.

The road has been in poor condition for a long time. Agricultural products, traffic, taking sick patients to the hospital have to suffer a lot. During the rainy season, this road becomes impassable for us. It is very good to hear the news of the tender for the repair of this road, which has been a long dream. University student Sumon Mahmud, a resident of Sonullah Fakir neighborhood, said that our road has been in a very bad condition for a long time. During the dry season, it is very difficult to move in the dust, and during the monsoon season, the roads are covered with mud and it becomes difficult to walk. Most importantly, three-wheeled vehicles travel through this road as an alternative road during the two Eids of the year, resulting in the road becoming worse due to excess traffic. I heard that our long time dream is going to be fulfilled. I heard that the road work will start very soon.

Some residents of Yadu Fakir neighborhood said that this road is very important for us. Most of the people in our area earn their livelihood by doing agricultural work. During the monsoon season, the water of the Padma comes to both sides of our road. When some parts of the road get submerged in water, there is a problem in taking the agricultural products to the market.

It is very important to repair the road. I heard that the upazila parishad chairman has been running around to various departments to repair the road for a long time. It is good to hear that the road work has been tendered due to his tireless efforts.

Daulatdia Union Parishad Chairman Abdur Rahman Mondal said the road has been in bad condition for a long time. Already sent road estimate. Hopefully the road work will start soon. He also said that recently the former chairman of the upazila, Mustafa Munshi, has contacted many offices for the road.

Upazila Engineer Bidyut Kumar Das said, we have already sent the estimate of the road in Daulatdia Fakir Para area, if the estimate is approved then tender will be done. He further said, however, we hope that within a very limited time we will get approval for the road and the road work will be inaugurated.
