The bank insurance programme inaugurated by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the National Insurance Day this year, has already created sensation among the insurance people as it shows the way to reach insurance benefits to the greater section of masses.

Marking this programme at an international seminar was held at a Hotel in Gulshan on Saturday.

About 100 executives and agents of different banks and insurance companies attended the seminar. In his inaugural speech.

The Expert Academy Managing Director Istiaque Ahmed Chowdhury highlighted various programmes and performances of the organization, a prominent training Institute in the economic sector of the country. The key-note speaker at the seminar was Basant Kumar Nayak, Principal of College of Insurance , Kolkata.

Chairman of the Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA) Mohammad Jainul Bari who was present as the Chief Guest said that this training organization is doing every efforts to make the bancassurance programme a grand success. He said the government is committed to the development of the Insurance sector and hence the programme.

The expert academy chairman Mahfuzur Rahman presided over the function. While the academy founder and leading business figure Hasan Rahman gave a brief picture of the activities of the organization that include programmes on various topics in the economic sector as well as its efforts to develop professional and skill issuance manpower in the country. The experts academy organizes seminars on various issues and publishes research journals, he said. He further said that such seminars would be organized at international level in future.

Mr. Rahman presented a memento to the chairman of the IDRA Mohammad Jainul Bari. Besides, certificates were also awarded to 69 participants by the chairman.
