HPD vaccination will be given to 12 thousand 375 girls in Debiganj

HPD (Human Papilloma Virus) vaccination campaign to 12 thousand 375 girls is going to start in Debiganj in Panchagarh.
This vaccine will be given to prevent cervical cancer. This campaign is going to start in Debiganj as well as seven divisions of the country from October 24.
During the campaign, HPV vaccination will be given to 14-year-old girls studying in classes 5 to 9. Girls of every educational institution of the upazila will be brought under this campaign. Vaccination will be administered from 8 am to 3 pm. If a girl fails to get vaccinated in the educational institution, she can get vaccinated later at the EPI center and health complex.
Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Hasinur Rahman said all this information in an exchange meeting organized under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (Acting) Turab Hossain in Hall Room of Upazila Health Complex.
This campaign will continue from October 24 to November 7. Before receiving this vaccination, every adolescent girl should collect the vaccination card by registering with the 17-digit birth registration number on the website www.vaxepi.gov.bd.
In order to vaccinate girls who are studying in Class IX but above 14 years of age, they are directed to send their information to the Heads of the concerned educational institutions at vaxepi@mis.dghs.gov.bd
Upazila Engineer Shahriar Shakeel, Debiganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Soel Rana, Social Service Officer Golam Azam, Debiganj Upazila Press Club General Secretary Najmus Saqib Moon and others were present in the meeting.
