Goat rearing, vegetable cultivation training held in Juri

Goat rearing and vegetable farming training was held in implementation of Middle and South Bangladesh Child Development Project funded by international organization "Compassion International Bangladesh" in Elbintila Punji of Fultola Union of Juri Upazila of Moulvibazar.
Goat rearing training was conducted among 14 beneficiary families under Income Generating Program (IGA) on Monday noon at the project office premises.
Under the chairmanship of project chairman Sewing Amlenrong and moderated by social worker Michael Nongrum, Deputy Assistant Livestock Officer of Upazila Livestock Department Ripon Chandra Sen discussed about goat rearing. After the training, one goat is distributed among the beneficiaries.
On the other hand, Deputy Assistant Plant Conservation Officer of Upazila Agriculture Extension Department Md. Azizul Islam Khan advised and discussed about vegetable cultivation. Later, among 45 beneficiary families, 4 packets of high-quality vegetable seeds and vegetable cultivation tools such as spades, nets, water irrigation fountains were distributed.
Project Manager Diko Surong, Accountant Rajen Rupshi, Child Development Worker Abida Nongrum, Tariang Khongboh among others were present at this time.
