
Financial assistance provided to 15 martyr families of July Uprising in Barishal

Financial assistance totaling 1 crore 50 lakh taka in the form of savings certificates was distributed among the families of 15 martyrs killed during the July uprising in Barishal district.
Each family received a savings certificate check worth 10 lakh taka, handed over by District Administrator Mohammad Delowar Hossain.
The distribution took place during a brief ceremony held on Monday afternoon at the conference room of the Barisal District Administrator’s office.
The event was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Delowar Hossain. Additional District Administrator (General) Lusikant Hajong, Upazila Executive Officers from the district’s ten upazilas, Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Alaul Hasan, Deputy Director of the District Social Services Office AKM Akhtaruzzaman Talukdar, Assistant Director Sajjad Parvez, and members of the martyr families were present.
The ceremony began with a short discussion session, followed by the District Administrator handing over the savings certificate checks to the families of the martyrs killed during the July-August student-people’s uprising in Barisal district.
According to the district administration, a total of 30 individuals were martyred in Barisal during the uprising. In the first phase, financial assistance has been provided to the families of 15 martyrs.
The District Administrator stated that the remaining martyr families will receive similar assistance in phases
