Land Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda said, we have to emphasize on protecting family values.

Land Minister Narayan Chandra Chanda said this while speaking as the chief guest at the "Ratnagarbha Ma Samman Smarana 2024" (Mothers of Talents Honor Award 2024) organized by Uttara Public Library at Uttara Ladies Club Hall on Sunday afternoon on the occasion of World Mother's Day.

Mentioning that the parents of the established children are also seen living in old age homes, the land minister said, "This is contradictory to our tradition. Now the importance of joint families is also being talked about in Western countries."

Mentioning that today's youths, who are also the parents of children or adolescents, will be elderly in the future, the Land Minister urged them, the way you want respect and behavior from your children in your old age, respect your parents today and set an example for your children.

Paying tribute to the mothers who received the Ratnagarbha Award, the land minister said, due to your sacrifice, Bangladesh has got good citizens who are working for the development of the country and the nation.

Local Member of Parliament Alhaj Md. Khosru Chowdhury was present as the guest of honour in the event, while Member of Parliament Shahida Tarekh Dipti, Local Councilor heroic freedom fighter Md Nasir Uddin, DNCC Regional Executive Officer Md Zulkar Nayan, Inspiration Welfare Society General Secretary Syeda Munira Islam, Founder and President of Uttara Public Library Mohammad Tarekuzzaman Khan were present as special guests. Uttara Ladies Club President Isme Ara Hanif presided over the event.

At the event, three Ratnagarbha mothers expressed their stories. Today, 32 mothers were awarded the Ratnagarbha Ma Award.
