Brahmanbaria Correspondent

Minister for Housing and Public Works war-wounded freedom fighter RAM Obaidul Muktadir Chowdhury MP said, cultural activities are the lifeblood of any civilization, any civilized ethnic group. If cultural activities are not vibrant, if there is no flow in cultural activities, then civilization cannot survive.

He said this while addressing as chief guest at the scholarship distribution, prize distribution and cultural program organized by the Language and Literature Practice Center in the lecture theater room of Brahmanbaria Government College on Saturday.

The Minister said, the more cultural activities can be practiced, the more its strength will increase and the civilization will also develop. Bengali language and Bengali culture is very rich.

Although Bengali New Year was celebrated sporadically before, it has now become institutionalized. Now the Bengali New Year is being celebrated nationally. It has become a universal Bengali festival.

He said, the great strength of Bengali culture is that it can attract everyone irrespective of caste and religion. I do not want to know the political identity of those associated with Brahmanbaria cultural organization, I want to carry forward the cultural activities with everyone. Meanwhile, the minister expressed his firm belief to stand by the language and literature practice center.

The Public Works Minister also said that the language and literature practice center is making an important contribution in the development of culture in Brahmanbaria, the capital of culture.

Apart from this, for the last four years, it has been providing scholarships to poor meritorious students and giving honors to honorable people. I welcome their efforts.
