Kurigram (South) Correspondent

Mild cold flow is blowing again over Kurigram. The cold is shivering with thick fog at the beginning of the month, the labourers, downtrodden and low-income people are suffering from the cold. The temperature has increased slightly in the last two days but has decreased today. The lowest temperature recorded in the district was 9.8 degrees Celsius at 9 am on Sunday .

Meanwhile, as the night and day temperatures are almost close, it feels colder till noon. Most of the day the sun is not visible. As the day progresses, the temperature warms up a bit, but the temperature drops again in the afternoon.

Due to the lack of warm clothes, many people were seen burning straw to warm themselves. According to the district administration, about 70 thousand blankets have been distributed in 9 upazilas of the district during winter. A woman named Halima Begum of Bhogdanga Union in Sadar said that it is getting so cold and no one has given blankets. I am very troubled.

It will be of great benefit to us if we get blankets by this time. Subal Chandra Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Kurigram's Rajarhat Agricultural Meteorological Office, said that the lowest temperature in the district was recorded at 9.8 degrees Celsius at 9 am yesterday . Such temperatures may continue for two more days.
