Agricultural incentives distributed among farmers in Rangpur

Directorate of Agriculture Extension has distributed agricultural incentives worth 17 crore 63 thousand 500 rupees among 1 lakh 65 thousand 510 beneficiaries of Rangpur district in the financial year 2023-2024.
According to the information of the Rangpur district office of the Directorate of Agricultural Extension, fertilizers and seeds worth Tk 4 crore 73 lakh 66 thousand 800 have been distributed among 8 thousand 200 farmers under the agricultural incentive program.
Under the same programme, fertilizers and seeds worth Tk 4 crore 35 lakh 92 thousand 200 have been distributed among 40 thousand 110 farmers for winter crop cultivation.
Besides, seeds and fertilizers worth Tk 7 crore 82 lakh 14 thousand 500 have been distributed among 1 lakh 10 thousand 200 farmers for Boro, Aush and Ropa Aman paddy fields.
Apart from this, the Department of Agricultural Extension has provided agricultural incentives of Tk 8 lakh 90 thousand to 4 thousand farmers for jute cultivation.
Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institutes (Bina) has distributed 16 tons of seeds and agricultural inputs worth Tk 10 lakh in 8 districts of Rangpur Division under the Agricultural Incentive Program.
On Saturday afternoon, Bina Rangpur Center Officer-in-Charge Dr. Mohammad Ali said that fertilizer seeds have been distributed to 3,000 beneficiaries this financial year.
