69th founding anniversary of National Press Club celebrated amid festivities

The 69th anniversary of the National Press Club was celebrated amid festivities with cutting of cake , delightful cultural programmes, dinner and an exciting raffle draw on Friday.
On the occasion of the founding anniversary, the Press Club building and premises were decorated with aesthetic lighting. From the afternoon, the Club courtyard became lively with member couples.
The main attraction of the cultural programme was renowned music artist Sabina Yasmin.
Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud, National Press Club President Farida Yasmin and General Secretary Shyamal Dutta and Joint Secretary Ayub Bhuiyan spoke on the occasion . Editors, senior journalists and former presidents and general secretaries of the club were present .
Before this, various sports and cultural competitions were held for the Club members, their wives and children throughout the week. The event started with a 'Shishu Anand Mela' on October 13 and the week-long sports and cultural competition concluded with a mini marathon in the morning.
Apart from this, club president Farida Yasmin and General Secretary Shyamal Dutta distributed prizes among the winners in various events throughout the week.
