5 drug dealers arrested in Sirajganj Raiganj

Police arrested 5 drug dealers with 56 pieces of Yaba and 60 grams of ganja in a separate operations in Raiganj of Sirajganj.
Haroon-or-Rashid, OC of Raiganj police station, confirmed the matter on Wednesday afternoon.
OC of Raiganj police station also said that an anti-drug operation was conducted in Saraidah village of Chandaikona union of the upazila based on secret information. Meanwhile, they were arrested with 56 pieces of Yaba and 60 grams of ganja from the dirt road on the eastern side of Zainal Abedin's residence, son of deceased Muhammad Ali Sheikh.
On Tuesday, a raid was conducted in Baridhara area under Gulshan Thana at 11:30 pm on the basis of news that a group of drug dealers were going to Pragati Sarani Kuril from Teknaf in Cox's Bazar with Yaba in a truck. He also said that the arrested persons used to collect yaba and sell it in different remote areas of the village.
A case has been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act.The accused have been sent to jail.The arrested accused are Sabuj, son of deceased Mustafa Mandal of Shyamnai village of the upazila, Moti, son of Zakaria Chorhab Ali, son of deceased Bajlar Rahman, Rana, son of Dulal Talukdar of Jhikra Talukdarpara village of Ullapara upazila and Abdul Mannan of Sherpur upazila.
