Workshop on Women, Children, Elderly and Disabled Service Desk held at RMP

A workshop on Women, Children, Elderly and Disabled Service Desk was held at the conference room of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) headquarters, says a press release.
The workshop was held at 11 am on Thursday with the officers and forces in charge of Women, Children, Elderly and Disabled Service Desks established in each police station of RMP.
Organized by Victim Support Center, RMP, Rajshahi, the workshop was presided over by the Police Commissioner of RMP, Mohammad Abu Sufian.
At the workshop, the Police Commissioner told the officers of the Women and Children Help Desk to perform their duties with patience and professionalism. He said that the visitors should be satisfied through beautiful and kind words and service should be provided quickly.
He also said that the activities of the Help Desk will be coordinated with the relevant government and private organizations. If a victim needs to be sent to a One-Stop Crisis Center (OCC) or elsewhere, necessary steps will be taken. He also directed to provide prompt service to people with special needs.
Representatives of various government and private organizations present at the event mentioned their cooperation in the activities of the Women, Children, Elderly and Disabled Service Desk established at the police station.
Senior officials of RMP, officers and forces assigned to the Women and Children Help Desk, representatives of government and private organizations, and officers-in-charge of 12 RMP police stations were present.
