Training on Climate Finance, Project Concept Papers and Financial Proposals organized by Krilik of LGED held

A three-day training on Climate Finance, Project Concept Papers and Financial Proposals organized by the Center for Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure (CRILIC) was held on October 15-17 at the LGED Headquarters Training room
Md. Abdul Hakim, Additional chief engineer of LGED and director of Crilic, inaugurated the training. He thanked everyone for coming and emphasized on utilizing the knowledge gained from the training in developing LGED's climate related development projects.
LGED Additional Chief Engineer Gopal Krishna Debnath said that this kind of training is the first in LGED. This change in global climate will change our way of life. There will be a water crisis. Food production will become difficult. Some regions will heat up to dangerous levels and sea levels will rise, flooding many areas. As a result all those places will become uninhabitable. So we need to prepare and learn the road and infrastructure of the future with all kinds of preparation. He thanked Krilik and everyone involved for preparing the training manual used in this training.
LGED Supervising Engineer (Planning) Md. Jasim Uddin, CREE Project Director Md. Abdul Khalek, Director of Environment Department (Climate Change and International Convention) Mirza Shawkat Ali, Deputy Managing Director of Palli Karma Sahajik Foundation (PKSF) Dr. . Fazle Rabbi Sadek Ahmed. Mahmood Riaz and Nestor Zapata, Senior Institutional Development Specialists of IDC-Crylic were present as the main trainers in the training program.
Thirty engineers from different levels of LGED participated in the three-day training. The training was conducted by Banda Hafeez, Training Specialist of IDC Krilik.
