Ameer of the party said this in his speech as the chief guest at a huge road meeting organized by the District Jamaat in Hajiganj, Chandpur at 3:30 pm on Saturday.

Remembering the casualties in July-August, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, ‘I hate such politics where you have to flee the country while doing politics. In July-August, the youth liberated the country by beating their chests. I want to see Bangladesh as a humane state. We have to hand over the Bangladesh of the future to them. Even in 53 years of independence, the people of the country have not been liberated. The people of this country want to be liberated through the implementation of Allah’s law. And Jamaat-e-Islami is the reason why they are doing that work.’

The Ameer of Jamaat said, ‘The new generation of youth has shown how to donate blood. The country has become independent for the second time in exchange for the blood of students and the public. I salute those whose blood has allowed us to speak in an independent country today. We must maintain this.’

The meeting was chaired by District Jamaat Naib Ameer Adv Md. Masudul Islam Bulbul and conducted by District Jamaat Secretary Advocate Shahjahan Miah. Special guests were Jamaat-e-Islami Central Assistant Secretary General ATM Masud, Central Executive Committee Member Mubarak Hossain, Dhaka Metropolitan South Assistant Secretary Kamal Uddin, Former District Ameer Maulana Abdur Rahim Patwari, Central General Secretary of the Workers’ Welfare Federation Ed: Atiqur Rahman.
