Fourth grade student raped by old man in Pirganj

A class IV student who went to collect flowers to pay tribute at Shaheed Minar in Rangpur's Mithapukur has been accused of rape.
In this incident, the seriously ill child was sent to the one-stop crisis center of Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
The incident took place on Friday at around 6 am in Mirzapur Rathia village of Mithapukur upazila.
Mithapukur Police Station OC Abu Bakkar said, a case has been filed under the Women and Child Abuse Act.
It is learnt that the child went to pick flowers at Rathia village surveyor Ruhul Amin's house around 6 am on Friday morning to pay tribute to the martyrs. When the child was collecting flowers from the garden, she was forced into the house and raped. At that time some Muslims who went to the house after the Fajr prayer heard the cry of the child and rescued the child.
