Jaintapur Press Club felicitated outgonig Upazila Executive Officer Umme Salik Rumya on her transfer. Journalist leaders presented her with a farewell memento at Jaintapur Press Club on Tuesday afternoon. Jaintapur Press Club President Nurul Islam, former president Faiz Ahmed, executive committee vice-president Selim Ahmed, general secretary Shahjahan Kabir Khan, publicity and office secretary Md. Dulal Hossain Raju (SM Raju), Asian Television's Jaintapur correspondent Yusufur Rahman, and Daily Amar Desh's Jaintapur correspondent Bilalur Rahman were present at the event.

Later, the leaders of the Jaintapur Press Club paid a courtesy call on the newly appointed Upazila Executive Officer George Mitra Chakma. Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Farzana Akhter Laboni, Upazila Academic Supervisor (Secondary) Md. Azizul Haque Khokon were present at the time. On March 23, 2024, Umme Salik Rumaiya joined the border town of Jaintapur as the Upazila Executive Officer.

January 21, 2025 AD: Jaintapur was his last working day. As a result, George Mitra Chakma joined as the new Executive Officer. He was on duty as Senior Assistant Commissioner in the office of the Sylhet Deputy Commissioner. The leaders of the Jaintapur Press Club expressed their gratitude to the outgoing Upazila Executive Officer Umme Salik Rumaiya. He expressed the opinion that the people of this region will remember him for his special role in the overall development and implementation of creative work in the border town of Jaintapur Upazila during his tenure here. Journalist leaders congratulated the newly appointed Upazila Executive Officer George Mitra Chakma in Jaintapur and assured him of cooperation in development work during his tenure.
