New LGED chief Abdur Rashid at review meeting : Work must be completed within stipulated time, pace of progress should be increased

A review meeting on various developmental works and progress under Local Government Engineering Department ( LGED) was held on Wednesday at LGED Headquarters.
The review meeting was presided over by newly -appointed LGED Chief Engineer Md. Abdur Rashid Mia.
In his speech he said, "I sincerely thank the Honorable Chief Adviser to the Interim Government, Prof Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Advisor to the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan , for appointing me as the Chief Engineer of LGED."
He also remembered the martyrs who died in the July Uprising with respect. He wished the injured a speedy recovery.
He also said that the works must be implemented quickly within the stipulated time while maintaining the quality of the work.
He further said, the pace of progress of the works should be increased. If the contractor does not work, action will have to be taken as per the rules.
Additional Chief Engineers of LGED Sheikh Mujakka Zaher, K. M. Zulfikar Ali, Md. Enamul Haque also spoke at the meeting.
LGED Supervising Engineers Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Abu Saleh Md. Hanif delivered the welcome speech.
Additional chief engineers of LGED, supervising engineers, project directors of various projects, executive engineers, senior assistant engineers were present at the review meeting.
In addition, LGED's additional chief engineers, supervising engineers, executive engineers, upazila engineers at division, district, and upazila levels of LGED across the country were connected to Zoom platform in the review meeting.
