National Local Government Day-2025 was celebrated in Satkhira with a rally and discussion meeting. Every upazila administration took a program to celebrate the day.

On Tuesday the upazila administration organized a program on the occasion of the National Local Government Day.

A rally and discussion meeting was held on the occasion of National Local Government Day at Asasuni in the district. First, the rally was taken out from the Upazila Parishad square. After the rally, a discussion meeting was held in the Upazila Parishad hall. Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rashed Hossain, Social Service Officer Rafiqul Islam, Head Teacher Golam Kibria and others spoke at the meeting chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Krishna Roy and moderated by Academic Supervisor Hasanuzzaman.

Meanwhile, a similar program was held at Debhata in Satkhira on the occasion of National Local Government Day celebrations. The rally started from the upazila parishad square and circled the main road of the upazila. Debhata Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md. Asaduzzaman presided over the discussion meeting held at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium. Former Member Secretary of Debhata Upazila BNP Mohiuddin Siddiqui, Amir Maulana Aliul Islam of Debhata Upazila Jamaat, Freedom fighter Zafar Ali, Debhata Upazila Engineer Duti Mandal, Parulia UP Chairman Golam Farooq Babu, Debhata Sadar UP Chairman Abdul Matin Bakul, Sakhipur UP Chairman Saiful Islam, Nawapara UP Acting were present among others. Various discussions were held in the meeting to strengthen the local government.

Meanwhile, a rally and discussion meeting was held to celebrate National Local Government Day-2025 organized by Kaliganj upazila administration of Satkhira district.

On Tuesday, a rally was brought out from Kaliganj Upazila Parishad premises on the occasion of National Local Government Day. The rally circled the main main road of the upazila and later held a discussion meeting in the conference room of the upazila Nirbahi officer.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Amit Kumar Biswas.

Chairman of Mathureshpur Union Parishad Abdul Hakim, Assistant Secretary of Upazila Jamaat Islami Maulana Anwarul Islam and others spoke at the meeting. Speakers in the meeting highlighted the important topics of the National Local Government Day.
