Dighirpar Rajatrekha River to be activated very soon: River Commission chairman

In Dighirpar area of southern Munshiganj, Rajatrekha River is the lifeblood of this area. If this river is activated, then crop production in this area will increase. Many say that this river has filled up due to natural reasons, while many say that it has been filled up due to other reasons.
The river will be activated no matter how it is filled up. As you know, the work will start immediately after the new government comes and the project is approved. If it is filled up again, it will be excavated again and activated, said Chairman of National River Protection Commission Md. Abul Hossain.
He said these after visiting Rajatrekha River in Dighirpar Union of Tongibari Upazila of Munshiganj on Sunday afternoon.
He also said that the cooperation of locals is needed for this work. We want everyone to be involved with the people and take initiative to ensure that the river flow is smooth and that the biodiversity is smooth. Local people also have something to do here, they should take initiative to protect the river.
At this time, Munshiganj Sadar UNO Md. Mahbubur Rahman, Tongibari UNO Md. Mostafizur Rahman, Tongibari Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Wazed Wasif, Dighirpar Union BNP President Shamim Mollah, local acting UP Chairman Sohel, local union land assistant officer and other concerned persons were present.
