Dakshina Surma Relief and Rehabilitation People's Committee distributes relief among flood victims

Relief has been distributed among the flood victims of Tetli Union Dakshin Surma upazila in sylhet district under the initiative of Dakshin Surma Relief and Rehabilitation People's Committee on Sunday.
Former Chairman of Dakshin Surma Upazila Parishad Mohammad Abu Zahid attend the programme as a chief guest.
In his speech, he said that the flood has inundated all the unions of South Surma, causing suffering to the people.
Flood is a natural disaster. It is not possible for the government alone to overcome this disaster. We can overcome the disaster through the collective efforts of all the society. He said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government has stood by the flood victims. Along with the government, he called upon the rich people of the society to come forward.
Under the chairmanship of Sylhet Chamber of Commerce and Industry Director Humayun Ahmed presided over and former organizing secretary of Dakshin Surma Upazila Awami League Abdul Motin conducted the programme.
Former Joint General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Shahed Hossain, members Fazlul Karim Helal, Tahsin Ahmad Dipu, Tetli UP Chairman spoke as special guests. Oliur Rahman Oli. Among others, Nurul Islam, Joynal Talukder, Sajjadur Rahman, Shafi Khan, district Jubo League leader Sueib Ahmad, Upazila Chhatra League deputy office secretary Syed Ali Akbar Nahid and others spoke the relief distribution programme .
