The Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) of Begumganj, Noakhali, has been working responsibly and honestly. But recently, there have been allegations that there are attempts to transfer him due to political influence and conspiracy from some quarters.
Locals claim that the UNO's role in ongoing development activities, including canal digging, is commendable. However, there is a conspiracy to remove him to protect the interests of some political leaders.
In such a situation, the common people and conscious circles have made it clear that they will not accept any dirty political influence on the administration.
They call for the administration to stop this transfer process and develop Begumganj into a model upazila free from corruption and extortion.
People from coastal and riverside towns, including Noakhali district, have also warned that if dirty politics continues, the general public will lose trust in the administration.
