Coast Guard seized 14.80 lakh metres illegal current nets in Lohajang

Bangladesh Coast Guard seized 14 lakh 80 thousnds metres illegal current nets in a drive in river near Lohojang upazila in Munshiganj.
Coast Guard Headquarters Media Offcer Lieutenant Commander Md Siam -Ul- Haq confirmed this on Tuesday evening.
Based on secret information Bangladesh Coast Guard, Dhaka Zone' s BCG Composite Station Padama conducted the drive and seized 14,80, 000 metres illegal current nets costing Tk 5, q8, 00,000.
Nets were burnt in the presence of Upazila Fisheries Officer.
Nobody was detained in this regard.
