
Human chain demanding steps to check erosion in Manikganj

Village people arranged a human chain demanding prevention of erosion in Jamuna. A new breakdown has occurred in the village near Jamuna river.
The hill eels and tidal water that came down from the upstream in Jamuna. In particular, the river Sikasit, including Goaria, Maluchi, Gangandhail, South Teota, Narayan Teota, Jhikuṭia, Nihalpur, of Shivalaya Upazila, is dissolving in Jamuna womb. People who are terrified to protect the settlements, crop land, roads and roads have taken measures to inform the government, including keeping humanitarian programs in the government.
On Monday , thousands of people from different classes of professions participated in the human chain organized by Jhikutia village, which was broken in Jamuna in Shibalaya upazila. Various political party leaders and activists participated in it.
It is reported that the water in Jamuna and the tide increased in Jamuna this season. In the intense stream, Maluchi, about three kilometers south of the water flowing from the west along the Jafarganj of Shibalaya upazila, and the river bank of the village subsequently suffered the Jamuna breakdown.
For the past one month, some villages have been on the way to Bilin for such a breakdown. Terrified people are trying to move home. Many people are trying to seek shelter under the open sky. Victims said that in the breakdown of Jamuna in Jamuna last year, Jhikutia, Nihalpur, Narayan Teota, South Teota, Gangandhail, Maluchi, etc., were arranged for government initiatives which were inadequate. All those villages have been renewed.
Teota UP -1 Ward Member Masud Rana said that thousands of people participated in the humanitarian programme on Monday in Jhikutia edge to take effective measures to prevent erosion.
