Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Executive Council member and former acting Secretary General oppressed  public leader  ATM Azaharul Islam said, “ Today, the youth society must come forward to play a leading role in the country's crisis.”

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a youth rally organized at the local Model High School auditorium in Badarganj Upazila on Friday afternoon.

Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Youth Department President Vice- Principal Masud Rana presided over the rally.

In his speech as the chief guest, oppressed public leader ATM Azharul Islam said, “The youth society has played a historic leading role in the anti-Ayub movement, the mass movement of 69, the liberation war of 71, the anti-dictatorship of 90 and the anti-dictatorship of 2024. The country has undergone great changes in this. The youth society must protect this.”

He said, “We want elections very soon, but before that, we want an exemplary trial of the murderous dictatorship and necessary reforms of the country. A level playing field must be created in the elections. For this, a permanent election system must be introduced under the caretaker government.” He added, “We will not allow anyone to rob the ballot in the next elections. For this, the youth society must be vigilant. We want to establish the rule of honest people and the law of Allah in the society through the participation of all people through fair elections. Through this, we want to change the fate of 18 crore people of the country. We want to create a corruption-free society. We want to establish justice. In the past, 2 ministers of Jamaat have run 3 ministries. No one could complain about the corruption of a single Taka. This is the ideal of Jamaat-e-Islami.”

Earlier in the morning, popular leader ATM Azaharul Islam inaugurated the "Free Medical Center" organized by the Badarganj Islamic Library and Social Welfare Organization on Station Road in the Upazila Sadar. The program organized on this occasion was presided over by the president of the library, Principal Mohammad Abdur Razzak Sarker.

In the afternoon, popular leader ATM Azaharul Islam addressed the women's rally organized by the Badarganj Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Women's Division at the Merit Care Academy Auditorium in the local Baluabhat Professor Para. Badarganj Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Maulana Kamruzzaman Kabir presided over the rally.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Central Majlish-e-Shura member and Rangpur District Ameer Professor Muhammad Golam Rabbani was the special guest at the youth and women's rally. Rangpur District Jamaat Secretary Maulana Muhammad Enamul Haque, former Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Rangpur City Branch Professor Ruhul Quddus, District Jamaat Working Committee Member Maulana Abdul Hannan Khan, Mithapukur Upazila Jamaat Ameer Muhammad Asaduzzaman Shimul, Upazila Jamaat Nayebe Ameer Shah Muhammad Rustom, Secretary Professor Muhammad Minhajul Islam, Upazila Youth Department Secretary Mohammad Al Amin, among others, spoke.

ATM Azharul Islam said, "The fascist oppressor Hasina had kept me in jail for the past 14 years by ordering my execution on false charges and fictitious testimony. Today, I am free by the infinite mercy of Allah. I will devote myself to the struggle to establish the religion of Allah until the last day of my life, Insha Allah.”  He said, “In the past, the fascist Awami government has killed, imprisoned and oppressed millions of leaders and workers of various political parties of different views, including Jamaat-e-Islam. Almighty Allah’s willing, as a result of this oppression, the tyrant has fallen in exchange for the sacrifice of the lives of students and youth, including the pride of Rangpur, Abu Sayeed, in the mass uprising of the students in the July-August revolution. The youth gave their hearts to the welfare of the country and the nation that day. As a result of this, the tyrants have fled the country. If you cooperate, I will serve this area in the future, Insha’Allah.”
