A protest march and rally was held in Gaibandha on Saturday to protest the brutal attack on Nurul Haque Nur of Gano Adikar Parishad and former VP of Daksu.
At the initiative of the Parishad, the protest march came out of the party office and came to the old district of the city and met at a rally. During this time they started giving different slogans.
Shamsuzzaman Siddiqui Mamun, General Secretary Samuel Islam, Organizing Secretary Ruman Basunia, Julyr President Mohammad Aminur Rahman, Masud Rana, Member Secretary Masud Rana, Member Secretary Bazi Bosh, Boshd Boshb, Jim, Jamdi Jim, JulyLeaders of the Islamic Movement and other parties spoke.
The speakers said that Nurul Haque Noor, president of the People's Rights Council and former VP of Daksur, is undergoing treatment at the intensive care center (ICU) at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Protesting the brutal attack on Noor, they said that Nur was attacked several times during the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government. The government has changed after August 7 last year, yet Noor strongly condemned why such an attack took place. He also arrested those involved in the attack and demanded exemplary punishment.
Later, the activists took the procession and took the procession in front of the Jatiya Party office in the city's Kathpatti area. Japan leaders were also present at the office and adjoining square.
