Human chain in Kabirhat demanding Noakhali division

People from all walks of life gathered at Shaheed Wasim Square in Kabirhat Bazar, Kabirhat Upazila, Noakhali, to form a human chain and a huge rally to demand Noakhali division at 11 am on Tuesday.

Many big initiatives including the Char Development Project are underway here, if Noakhali is a division, the expansion of these development projects will be easy, Noakhali as a coastal area is important for the marine resources of the Bay of Bengal, river ports and agricultural economy, according to surveys, Noakhali is the richest district in Bangladesh, a lot of expatriate Revitans fighters have been kept here, political leaders Moudud Ahmed and Malek Ukil were born in Noakhali, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia was born in Greater Noakhali. We want Noakhali, which is full of the oldest tradition of hundreds of years, to be a division.
The current Chittagong Division has 11 districts, a huge population, it is time-consuming and expensive to go from Noakhali to the headquarters of Chittagong. Journalists from the print and electronic media of the upazila were also present at the event.
