Youth shot dead by miscreants in Rangamati

A young man named Abdul Hakim (26) was shot dead by miscreants in Kaptai, Rangamati at around 12:15 pm on Sunday in Fultali village of Raikhali Union No. 2 of the upazila.
However, the identity of the perpetrators and the reason for the killing are not known. The deceased Abdul Hakim is the son of the deceased Bahar Ali of Khantakata Ghoniakhola area of the same union.
Locals said that a group of 9 to 10 armed men came to Fultali village and fired 5 to 6 rounds at Abdul Hakim. He died on the spot.
Raikhali Union Parishad (UP) Chairman Mankya Marma confirmed the incident and said that the incident took place at around 12:15 pm. The boy was sitting in a local shop. At that time, some armed men came and shot him. However, he did not know why or for what reason the young man was killed; the UP Chairman said that he did not know these matters.
Chandraghona Police Station OC, Investigation) Imrul Hasan said, "We went to the spot after receiving the news of the incident. But the locals are not giving any information to the police. We have not found the body. An investigation is underway to find out who or what caused this incident."
