
Youth’s body recovered from abandoned room of Munshiganj College

Police recovered the body of an 18-year-old youth named Md. Yasin from an abandoned room of the Munshiganj Engineering School and College.
The body was discovered at around 11:00 AM on Wednesday after locals noticed it and informed the police. Law enforcement officials then arrived at the scene and recovered the body.
The deceased, Yasin, was originally from Alki village in Bhola district. His father's name is Babul Hossain and his mother’s name is Sakhina Begum. Yasin had been living with his family in a rented house in the Mathpara area of Munshiganj. He used to work at a biscuit factory in Mohammadpur, Dhaka.
According to his family, Yasin had returned to their rented home in Munshiganj from his workplace last Thursday.
His family also stated that he was mentally unstable to some extent. Yasin’s sister, Sonia, said her brother was a bit slow to understand things. He left the house around 8:30 AM on Wednesday, and by 11:00 AM his lifeless body was found in the abandoned room.
OC of Munshiganj Sadar Police Station, Md. Saiful Alam, said police recovered the body upon receiving the report. Preliminary evidence suggests that the cause of death might be drug-related, and the youth was mentally unstable. The body has been sent to the hospital morgue for autopsy, and an investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of death.
