Volunteers' meeting held in Companyganj

On the occasion of the 15th anniversary of We For You, a social organization that donates blood, a voluntary meeting and award ceremony was held in a colourful arrangement at Companyganj, Noakhali.
The meeting was held at Nirjhar Convention Center in Basurhat Bazar of the upazila on Sunday afternoon.
The central president of the organization Ibrahim Md. Companyganj Upazila Parishad Chairman Golam Sharif Chowdhury Peepul was present as the chief guest in the event under the chairmanship of SAEM and moderated by donor member Farida Yasmin Muktar.
On this occasion, women vice chairman of upazila parishad Parveen Akhter Murad, general secretary of upazila women's Awami League Nazmun Nahar Shipa, founder of the organization Faisal Mahmud, donor member of the organization Belayet Hossain Belal spoke as special guests.
A documentary on various activities of the organization was screened on the occasion.
Apart from this, on the occasion of the organization's 15th anniversary, the annual souvenir was unveiled. At the same time, the blood donors were given a memento. Several organizations of greater Noakhali were honored for their special contribution to humanitarian work.
It should be noted that voluntary blood donation social organization We For You was established on May 5, 2010. Since then, 18,000 bags of blood have been donated to enter the 15th year.
Apart from donating blood, the organization stands by the helpless poor of the society. The organization has received several awards for standing by the people.
