Two passengers of Autovan were killed in a truck collision on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in front of the Pantapara High School gate in Gobindganj in Gaibandha on Tuesday night.
Two other passengers were injured. The deceased were identified as Hamidul Islam, 5, son of Inch Ali of Champatli village of Ghoraghat municipality of Dinajpur and Rocky Mia, 28, son of Nawab Ali. They are both residents of the same area.
Locals said an autovan passenger was crossing the Dhaka-Rangpur highway around 7:30 pm. In the meantime, two passengers of the van, including two passengers, were seriously injured on the spot when a Bogra truck leaving from Rangpur pushed an autovan leaving from Rangpur in front of the Pantapara High School gate.
The locals rescued the injured and rushed them to a local hospital.
Officer -in -charge of Govindganj Highway Poliice OC Mozaffar Hossain confirmed the matter.
