The 16th housing fair has been started in Chittagong.

A four -day long Housing Fair has.begun in Chittagong on Thursday

Chittagong City Corporation Mayor Dr Shahadat Hossain inaugurated the Fair as chief guest at Radisson Blue in the city organized by the Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (Rehab).

Rehab Vice President Ahiduzzaman presided over the inauguration of the fair organized by Rehab Chittagong.

It is reported that there are 42 stalls in this year's fair.

Among these, real estate companies, building materials and financing companies are participating. Chittagong Regional Committee Chairman Haji Delwar Hossain said in the welcome address that the Rehab Housing Fair started in Dhaka on the 2001st. The fair has been being organized abroad since then. The event has been successfully completed in various countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Dubai, Italy, Canada, Sydney and Qatar.

He also said, “Rehab is working to create and promote housing industry in the country and abroad. Expatriate buyers are finding their favorite accommodation, which is helping to earn foreign currency. Besides, the country's economy and linkage industry is playing a significant role in the development of the industry.

Fair organized and stall Rehab Chittagong Fair 2008 is the Gold Sponsor for Purbachal Overseas Rural Limited and Wiccon Properties Limited. In addition, 14 real estate companies, including 16 co-sponsored companies, are participating.

Co-sponsored organizations are- Aerl Prperture Limited, Epic Properties Limited, Concord Real Estate Limited, Rancon FC Parties Limited, Ashian SingingLimited, Jumirah Holding Limited, Equity Property Management Limited, Shine Matrix Builders Limited (SMBL), City Home Properties Limited and Secure Property Management Limited.

Chittagong Development Authority Chairman Engineer Nurul Karim and Chittagong Metropolitan Police Commissioner Hasib Aziz were present as special guests.

On the first day, buyers and visitors have been able to enter the fair from 2pm after the inauguration. The rest of the day will be able to enter the fair from 10 am to 5pm.

There are two types of tickets to enter the fair. One is single entry, the other is multiple entry. The entry price of single entry ticket is 50 rupees. The entry price of multiple entry tickets is 100 rupees. Visitors will be able to enter four times during the fair with multiple tickets. Every day there is an interesting prize for the visiting audience
