Eid holiday : Import operations at Darshana

Darshana International Railway Port will remain closed for 9 days from Thursday, March 27 to April 4 on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. Darshana International Railway Station authorities have confirmed the matter.
Darshana International Railway Station Manager Mirza Kamrul Hasan said, due to the long holiday in the country on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, commercial banks will be closed. As a result, importers will not be able to complete LC-related transactions. So Import operations at Darshana International Railway Port will remain closed for 9 days on the instructions of the Bangladesh Rail Bhaban Authority.
The C&F Agent Association of Darshana International Railway Port has said, due to the closure of the port's operations, the concerned employees and workers will be able to take leave for a specified period.
Meanwhile, Darshana Immigration Police and Customs authorities have said, the movement of passport-holding passengers between Bangladesh and India through Darshana Joynagar International Immigration Checkpost will remain normal.
