A huge quantity of prohibited goods has been seized in a joint operation by Aviation Security (AVSEC) and the Customs authorities at the import cargo section of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
Based on information from the airport intelligence agency on Sunday, two imported shipments from Dubai carried by a Solit Air cargo aircraft were inspected. During the inspection, 2,878 kg of prohibited cream, various types of garments products, and electronic accessories were recovered, with an estimated market value of Tk 28,492,200.
Necessary legal action against the seized goods by the Customs authorities is currently under process.
