Inter-university swimming, water polo competitions begin

The 2-day Inter-University Swimming and Water Polo (Student-Student) Competition under the slogan 'Friendship in the University Sports Ground' has started on Friday at the Dhaka University Swimming Pool. State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Haque inaugurated the competition as the chief guest in the morning.
Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education), Prof Dr. Abdus Salam, who is on the routine duty of the Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University, was present as the special guest at the inaugural ceremony.
The inaugural ceremony was presided over by Dhaka University Swimming and Water Polo Committee President Prof Kazi Mohammad Mahbubur Rahman, and Physical Education Center Advisor Prof Dr. SM Mostafa Al Mamun, Acting Director of Physical Education Center SM Zakaria, along with teachers, students and officials were present.
