Elderly man’s throat-slit body recovered in N’ganj
Police have recovered the throat-slit body of an elderly man, Utpal Roy (62), from a flat in Narayanganj. The incident took place late Monday night around 9:30 PM in a fourth-floor apartment of a seven-story building owned by Shankar Saha in the Tanbazar Sahapara area. The body was later sent to the General Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The deceased, Utpal Roy, was previously employed at a flour mill and had been retired for some time. He lived with his son in the flat following his wife’s passing. Of his two sons, one resides abroad, while the other, Ujjal Roy, is a doctor and an official at Save the Children.
