State Minister Yasser Khan Chowdhury orders immediate repair of Madhupur–Dewanganj Highway

Public concern has grown over the deteriorating condition of the Madhupur–Dewanganj Highway, where numerous potholes and damaged sections have made travel difficult and unsafe for commuters.
The poor state of the road has been causing significant inconvenience to local residents and transport operators on a daily basis.
Upon being informed of the situation, Yasser Khan Chowdhury took the matter seriously and immediately contacted the concerned authorities. He instructed senior officials of the Mymensingh Roads Division to take urgent measures to repair the highway and restore it to a safe and serviceable condition.
The State Minister expressed his sincere regret for the hardships faced by the public due to the current condition of the road. He stated that the relevant authorities have been directed to commence repair work without delay and assured that he is personally monitoring the progress of the initiative.
Questions have also been raised regarding the suspension of the highway’s development project, despite the completion of the tender process several years ago.
The Minister has directed the concerned authorities to investigate the reasons behind the delay and take necessary action against those responsible, if any negligence is found.
Local residents have welcomed the intervention and expressed hope that the repair work will begin soon, bringing an end to their long-standing suffering and ensuring smooth transportation along the Madhupur–Dewanganj Highway.
