Shib Shankar Das gains global recognition for pioneering research in medical science

Shib Shankar Das, a seasoned medical laboratory scientist from Bangladesh, is steadily gaining international attention for his remarkable contributions to health research.

 

 With over 15 years of hands-on experience, Das has authored 16 peer-reviewed publications addressing critical health challenges and emerging medical trends.

 

His research spans a diverse array of topics including cardiovascular risks in diabetic patients, biomarkers for hepatocellular carcinoma, and hematological profiles in dengue-infected children. Shib Shankar Das has also explored the role of telemedicine during the COVID-19 pandemic, diagnostic strategies for non-suspected tuberculosis cases, and the predictive power of IL-6, CRP, PCT, and D-Dimer markers in ICU mortality. His studies on thalassemia, sickle cell disease, and medicinal plants in hypoglycemia treatment have further expanded his research impact.

 

Currently working at the Upazila Health Complex in Serajdikhan, Munshiganj, Shib Shankar Das holds Medical Laboratory Scientist certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (USA). His academic journey includes a postgraduate diploma from the UK and a BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology from the University of Dhaka.
