Severing of husband’s genital organ by wife : Surrenders to police with blood-stained knife, creates sensation in Tongi

A shocking incident has taken place in Tongi, Gazipur Metropolitan, following a marital dispute.
A wife has been accused of severing her husband’s genital organ. After the incident, the accused wife surrendered herself at the police station carrying the blood-stained knife. The incident has created widespread sensation in the locality.
The incident occurred around 2:30 AM on Wednesday in the Morkun Purbo Para area under Tongi East Police Station.
According to police and local sources, auto-rickshaw driver Rocky (35) and his wife Tanzina Akter Jhinuk (25) lived in a rented house at 376 Kuddus Khalifa Road in Morkun Purbo Para. The couple had been experiencing marital discord for a long time. The conflict intensified, particularly over allegations of the husband’s immoral behavior and extramarital affairs.
On the night of the incident, an argument broke out again between the couple. At one point, the স্ত্রী allegedly became enraged and, while her husband was asleep, severed his genital organ with a sharp knife. Hearing Rocky’s screams, locals rushed in and rescued him in a critically injured condition.
He was quickly taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Doctors have stated that his condition is critical.
Meanwhile, after the incident, the accused wife, Tanzina Akter Jhinuk, went to Tongi East Police Station in a terrified state and surrendered with the blood-stained knife. Police later visited the scene, collected evidence, and took her into custody.
OC Md. Mehedi Hasan of Tongi East Police Station said, “The accused has been shown arrested and sent to jail through the court. Further legal action will be taken based on the complaint.
The incident has triggered strong reactions in the area, with widespread concern and anger among local residents.
