Seminar, workshop on mental health awareness held at Jaldhaka

A seminar and short workshop on mental health awareness was held in Jaldhaka Upazila of Nilphamari with the theme "Save yourself, save others - speak openly, be compassionate and respectful".
The workshop was organized by the Upazila Administration and Jaldhaka at 1 pm on Monday in the hall of Tenganmari Multipurpose High School in the upazila.
Nilphamari Deputy Commissioner (Joint Secretary) Mohammad Nairuzzaman was present as the chief guest at the event.
The main speaker was Dr. Debulal Roy, MBBS, MD (Psychiatry), Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
The program was presided over by Upazila Executive Officer Jannatul Ferdous Happy. Also present were Tenganmari Multipurpose High School Principal Ashiqur Rahman and Jaldhaka Press Club President Md. Kamruzzaman, along with officials from various departments, teachers, students and local dignitaries.
The program was hosted by Upazila Social Service Officer Md. Kamruzzaman.
In his speech as the chief guest, the Deputy Commissioner said, "I have also learned many new things from today's workshop. Everyone present here, including students and teachers, has gained important ideas about mental health."
