Ramadan food packs have been distributed at the initiative of Sawab Foundation, a voluntary organization in Jaldhaka.

On this occasion, on Thursday, the day-long distribution program was held at Danga Kamil Madrasa ground in Bijli, Balagram Union, on the occasion of Ramadan. Maulana Obaidullah Salafi, former secretary of Rangpur Metropolitan Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and Shura member of Nilphamari District Jamaat, was present as the chief guest during the distribution of food packs among the poor people organized under the overall management of Sawab Foundation General Manager Lokman

Jamaat-e-Islami Jaldhaka Upazila Branch Maulana Mokhlesur Rahman, Press Club President and Nayeb Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Jaldhaka Upazila Branch Kamaruzzaman were present as special guests.

District Chhatra Shibir President Tajmul Hasan Sagar, Deputy Manager of Shwab Foundation S.M Emdadul Islam, Assistant Manager Abu Sayeed Molla, Senior Officer Ziaur Rahman, Program Officer Jobair Hossain and Osman Ali were present at the time.

Under the leadership of Shwab Foundation volunteer Monowar Hossain Babu, 5 kg of potatoes, 5 packets of laccha semai, 5 kg of flour, 2 kg of muri, 1 liter of soybean oil, 1 kg of mushur dal, 1 kg of sugar and 1 kg of salt were distributed among 400 poor people. Later, zakat of 7 thousand taka was given to 130 very poor people and in the evening,

During the holy month of Ramadan, we have placed Nilphamari district in the northern region at the first level accordingly, Shwab is committed to providing public welfare services. As a result, all these food items were distributed among 400 beneficiaries of Jaldhaka Upazila.

In addition, 7,000 taka in cash as Zakat was given to 130 beneficiaries and 1,000 people who fasted in the evening were provided with iftar.
