Prof Alfatun appointed new Director of Inspection, Audit Depat of Education Ministry

Professor Md. Alfatun has been appointed as the new Director of the Inspection and Audit Department (DIA) under the Ministry of Education. He was posted to this crucial position through an official notification issued by the ministry in July 2026.
Historically, the Department is also referred to by many as the Directorate of Inspection and Control.
Originally hailing from Rohimanagar in Kachua Upazila of the Chandpur District, Professor Alfatun is an esteemed officer of the BCS (General Education) cadre. Prior to this new assignment, he served as an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) while being attached as a Professor of English at Hazaribagh Government University College in Dhaka.
The Inspection and Audit Department functions as a vital organ under the Ministry of Education, primarily tasked with auditing financial records, allowances, Monthly Pay Orders (MPOs), and academic operations across government and non-government schools, colleges, madrasas, and technical educational institutions throughout the country.
