
Press conference on preparations of BNP public meeting in Pabna

A press conference on preparations for BNP public meeting on February 18 was held in Pabna on Monday evening at PCCS Bazar Restaurant in Pabna.
Special Assistant to the BNP Chairperson and Chief Coordinator of the Central Sramik Dal, Ed. Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, District BNP Convener Habibur Rahman Habib and Member Secretary Ed. Maksudur Rahman Masud Khandaker spoke at the time. In addition, top leaders of BNP and its affiliates were present at the time.
The speakers spoke at the press conference highlighting the importance and preparations for the public meeting. They said that such public meetings are being held across the country under the direction of national hero Tarique Rahman. In continuation of this, this public meeting will be held at the Government Edward College Ground in Pabna on February 18 at 3 pm.
Overall preparations for this have already been completed, including ensuring security and avoiding public suffering. BNP National Standing Committee member Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku will address the public meeting as the chief guest. Local and other top leaders will also address the meeting. Earlier, a cultural event related to the anti-fascist movement will be organized by JASAS. Renowned artistes Ethun Babu and Moushumi will perform songs at the event.
The speakers said that the aim of the public meeting is to highlight the 31-point demands of BNP, including keeping the price hike to a tolerable level, demanding improvement in the deteriorating law and order situation, and demanding the country's stability through early elections and handing over the country to an elected and democratic government.
